The Prime Minister met the Grand Chancellor of the Order of Malta
On 3th September, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė met with Albrecht Freiherr von Boeselager, Grand Chancellor of the Order of Malta, to discuss bilateral relationships and the activities of the Order in Lithuania.
The Prime Minister welcomed the charitable activities of the Order of Malta Relief Organization in Lithuania, which helps the most vulnerable groups of people and contributes to the reduction of social exclusion, which was particularly important in the wake of the recent coronavirus crisis.
The Prime Minister also touched upon the issue of irregular migrants, thanking not only the Order of Malta Relief Organization in Lithuania, but also the entire Order of Malta for its cooperation in integrating foreigners in Lithuania.
